Topsoil has a multitude of uses and is one of the key ingredients for many garden projects such as topping up soil levels, creating hard landscaping, as a base for turf laying or sowing grass seed and creating new beds, borders and raised beds.
A healthy topsoil is naturally rich in nitrogen, potassium, phosphorus and magnesium, all of which are essential when growing healthy plants or grass and because they reside in this upper ‘top’ layer they are the most accessible.
A depth of 6 to 8 inches of topsoil can be the difference between having a thriving garden or seeing little or disappointing growth. If your existing soil is sparse or of poor quality then adding a tip-top topsoil like ours might be just what your garden needs!
